Molly Ringwald and Daughter Mathilda Rock Sparkly Gowns for Red Carpet Appearance

Molly Ringwald brought her daughter, Mathilda Gianopoulos, 20, as her date for the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala on Tuesday, Oct. 24, and the two glimmered in complementary sparkling dresses.
Ringwald and Mathilda were dressed in perfectly styled ensembles for the event, with the former wearing a floor-length sequined sheer dress with a pink slip underneath. The gown was long-sleeved, with slits up the arm to let the fabric hang looser as an elegant detail. To match her red-hued hair, Ringwald also wore a bright red lip color, nail polish and shoes.
By her side, Mathilda donned a silver and tan sequined sleeveless dress that ended right above her knee, giving off a flapper vibe. She accessorized the dress with tan peep-toe heels and a snakeskin clutch. The 20-year-old, who just celebrated her birthday earlier this month, opted for a darker makeup look, with smoky eyes that paired well with her dark hair.

At the event, the mother-daughter duo posed with Zac Posen and his fiancé, theatre actor Harrison Ball. The fall gala was a star-studded affair, with a few others in attendance being Annette Bening, Katie Couric, and The Real Housewives of New York star Ubah Hassan.
After the gala, the Sixteen Candles star shared a photo on her Instagram of what she called the "after party," with herself, Mathilda, Posen, and Ball all posing in front of Lincoln Center looking giddy.
"These are the best 🔥," wrote someone in the comments, while another said, "I love you queen." Mathilda commented on the post as well, simply writing, "👅😋👢🤠."
Ringwald shares Mathilda with her husband, Panio Gianopoulos, whom she has been married to since 2007. The couple also have 14-year-old twins named Adele and Roman.
