On July 5, 2023, Taylor Hill announced the passing of her beloved dog, Tate. About a year later, the model launched her own pet brand, naming it Tate & Taylor to honor her Labradoodle. The brand marks her very first business venture and will offer a variety of useful and trendy pet products. Along with the shopping platform, Hill hopes to create a community of animal lovers who can show up for each other. Moreover, Tate & Taylor will also have content for owners who wish to raise their furry friends responsibly.

Taylor Hill announced the death of her dog Tate last year. The canine unfortunately passed away due to cancer that eventually led to kidney issues, per People. The model noted that the experience of establishing the brand was quite “bittersweet,” as she started developing the idea when Tate was still around. After working on the pet brand for two years, Hill is finally ready to launch it.

Hill told People, “It’s an homage, a dedication, to my dog, Tate, who’s the love of my life, and I started it with him because I just sort of realized as a young pet parent…it was extremely overwhelming.” The model’s experience as a first-time pet parent played a significant role in developing her idea behind Taylor & Tate.

Furthermore, she plans to build a judgment-free community, to allow everyone to learn more about pet care without being overwhelmed. Hill’s pet brand is designed so that owners can always enjoy the fun parts of caring for their furry companions. The model said, “It shouldn’t be stressful to be a pet parent.”

Taylor Hill noted that she was grateful that she gets to do this for her beloved Labradoodle pup, calling him “her biggest inspiration.” Tate’s lymphoma was an isolating journey for both, which she wouldn’t want any pet parent to face. Thus, while working on Tate & Taylor, she emphasized the need for a platform where animal lovers can come together to support each other during difficult times.
