About No. 6 Tennessee (19-5, 8-3 SEC):

Missouri might be catching Tennessee at the worst possible time. The Volunteers will be hungry following a road buzzer-beating loss to Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. The loss was the Vols’ fifth of the season and likely their worst. The Volunteers have not lost back-to-back games this year.

Tennessee also welcomes Missouri having lost just one home game this season. Veteran Santiago Vescovi leads a team that has three players averaging double-figure points and two players averaging slightly more than nine per game. The Vols rank No. 14 in the country in assists and No. 6 in rebounding. That will be a major test for Missouri, who struggles on the glass.

About Missouri (18-6, 6-5):

Missouri took care of business and won its midweek game against South Carolina 83-74 Tuesday night. The Gamecocks gave the Tigers all they could handle, but Missouri pulled away late. Isiaih Mosley did not play in the win and it remains unclear if he will play Saturday. The Tigers are a different team offensively with him on the floor and could use his presence.

Senior Kobe Brown shined for Missouri with 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists to go along with three steals in the last game. D’Moi Hodge also had five steals and scored 12 points. Sean East had 15 points off the bench. Saturday’s matchup against Tennessee marks the first of two difficult road games. The Tigers will head to Auburn next week.
