About LSU (13-16, 2-14 SEC):

When Missouri met the LSU Tigers for the first time this year, LSU sat at 1-7 and tied for last place in the Southeastern Conference. Since then, LSU has gone 1-7 and is still in last place in the Southeastern Conference. LSU’s won its first conference game before dropping the next 13. The Tigers picked up their second league win against Vanderbilt last week.

Mwani Wilkinson is the only player who appeared in LSU’s win over Missouri last season still with the program. When the two teams met back on Feb. 1., KJ Williams scored a team-high 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He is coming off back-to-back games with at least 29 points. Illinois transfer Adam Miller attempted 11 three-pointers, making just three, and committed four turnovers. LSU is the second of three straight teams facing Missouri essentially with nothing to lose.

About Missouri (21-8, 9-7):

When the two teams met earlier this year, Missouri led from wire to wire in an 87-77 win. Kobe Brown missed just one of his 11 shots and finished with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Deandre Gholston and Noah Carter also added 14 points and Isiaih Mosley, who it appears will not play in this matchup due to personal reasons, had 12. Missouri shot 55.9% from the field and 48.1% from behind the arc — and 26 of the Tigers’ 33 made baskets were assisted.

This is Missouri’s final road contest of the regular season before the Tigers play host to Mississippi in the season finale Saturday. Dennis Gates’ squad sits in fifth place in the standings, one game back of Tennessee for the double bye in the conference tournament entering Tuesday. D’Moi Hodge is a player to watch in this matchup. He didn’t knock down a three-pointer in the first meeting but has hit at least three triples in his last three games. Missouri is coming off of an 85-63 win over Georgia despite trailing at the half of that game.
