A Missouri man died after being found unresponsive in the ocean during a snorkeling trip off the Florida Keys.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office investigators do not believe foul play contributed to 76-year-old Wesley Lillibridge’s death on Wednesday.

The crew of the Sea Dwellers Dive Center boat that took Lillibridge, from Scott City, and others to Molasses Reef off Key Largo found him floating unconscious in the water, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The crew performed CPR all the way back to shore at Marina Avenue, where medics pronounced him dead, sheriff’s office spokesman Adam Linhardt said.

Autopsy results are pending, added Linhardt.
