MISD names SJ principal as Executive Director of School Leadership
May 7—The Midland ISD Board of Trustees approved naming Fallon McLane the Executive Director of School Leadership at their meeting Monday night.
McLane was principal of San Jacinto Elementary School in Odessa. The MISD board recap said McLane was an exemplary candidate for this role as she has demonstrated outstanding leadership in maintaining an "A" rating at a campus where 85% of students are economically disadvantaged.
Her exceptional skills as an instructional leader show her deep understanding of effective teaching methods and curriculum.
McLane has a bachelor's degree in applied learning and development, EC-4 (early childhood to fourth grade) from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin, according to the San Jacinto website.
