Minnesota Vikings sign Oregon Ducks DL Taki Taimani as undrafted free agent: What to know
The Minnesota Vikings signed Oregon DL Sam “Taki” Taimani as an undrafted rookie free agent after the former Duck went undrafted in the 2024 NFL draft. A former Washington player, Taimani transferred to Oregon for his final two seasons and was a stalwart in the middle of Oregon’s defensive line.

Though Taimani wasn’t necessarily productive in the stat sheet, he was the second-highest graded Pac-12 interior lineman with an 82.3 run-defense grade via PFF and fifth overall with a 76.1 grade. He didn’t record a sack over his long career but successfully clogged the middle for the Ducks over his two-year stint in Eugene.

Though he never recorded a highlight play at Oregon, Taimani had a nine-tackle performance while at Washington with two TFLs and a fumble recovery against Oregon State in 2021.

How Taki Taimani performed at Oregon's Pro Day
Taimani was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine but had a 25-inch vertical jump, 8-foot-6 broad jump, 5.33 second 40-yard dash and 7.95 three-cone drill at Oregon's Pro Day. He also had 19 reps in the bench press of 225 pounds.
