The “area's smallest ice-skating rink" has been trans-FORE-med into a mini miniature golf course for a limited time.

That's right, the Milwaukee Public Market's Dinky Rink is now Dinky Links: A Mini Golf Adventure, according to a Wednesday news release from the market. It features five holes, plus a dedicated practice green.

“At the Milwaukee Public Market, we believe in the power of public spaces to bring people together and foster meaningful connections," Paul Schwartz, executive director of the Milwaukee Public Market and Business Improvement District No. 2, said in the news release. "Dinky Links offers the perfect opportunity for the community to do so, providing a playful and humorous setting where everyone is welcome to join in on the fun — except for gophers, of course.”

Funds raised through the attraction benefit First Tee - Southeast Wisconsin, a youth development organization that aims to empower kids and teens through golf, the release said.

"We are grateful for the collaboration with and contributions from Dinky Links," David Cohn, First Tee - Southeast Wisconsin executive director, said in the release. "Each donation made through this wonderful initiative directly supports our efforts to use the game of golf to help young people build the strength of character that they carry to everything they do.”
