41-year-old woman reported 'critically missing' is found dead in Milwaukee, police say

A 41-year-old woman reported "critically missing" has been found dead in Milwaukee, police say.

The Milwaukee Police Department sent a missing alert around noon Wednesday for Tomitka Stewart. "Critically missing" is label police apply to people who may be especially vulnerable due to a variety of factors.

The department sent an update at 6:50 p.m. announcing that Stewart was found dead "earlier today" in the 4500 block of North 29th Street. A 41-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of homicide, police said. Police say they believe the death is related to domestic violence.
