Milwaukee Bucks' Pat Connaughton engaged to Houston Dash's Ryan Gareis
Pat Connaughton will not only be adding the title of father but now husband, as he and girlfriend, soccer player Ryan Gareis, announced their engagement.
Connaughton, a 2021 NBA champion, and Gareis announced earlier this year that they were expecting a baby and on Wednesday shared to Instagram that Connaughton has proposed.
"Always (infinity symbol) Forever," the caption from Gareis reads.
The couple went public with their relationship on social media in June 2023.
Connaughton, 31, is averaging just over 20 minutes a game with the Milwaukee Bucks this year. He is under contract with the Bucks until 2024-25. He has a player option for $9.4 million in 2025-26.
Off the court, he owns a real estate development company,Three Leaf Partners, which operates in Wisconsin and Milwaukee. He also has the Pat Connaughton Foundation, which refurbishes basketball courts and gymnasiums.
Gareis, 25, was selected by the Houston Dash in the fourth round of the 2022 NWSL draft out of the University of South Carolina. She signed a three-year contract extension that will run through the 2025 season.
