Scoreless through three innings
The wind is blowing in off Lake Michigan today and its impact has already been felt at Wrigley. William Contreras smashed a 110 mph line drive that died at the warning track in right-center while Sal Frelick's fly ball to lead off the game had a chance to do damage on a different day in Chicago.
The Cubs have also had a pair of deep fly balls come up short against Brewers starter Joe Ross, who has matched Cubs righty Hayden Wesneski for three scoreless innings to start.
