Millie Bobby Brown's new movie delayed by Netflix to 2024

Millie Bobby Brown's upcoming fantasy movie Damsel is among six other titles delayed by Netflix.

The film sees the Stranger Things star take on the role of Princess Elodie, who is set "to marry a handsome prince – only to discover it was all a trap".

"She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely solely on her wits and will to survive," the synopsis continues.

Damsel was originally set for an October 13 release this year, but What's On Netflix reports that the film has been delayed until 2024 with an exact release date yet to be confirmed.

Other films we'll be waiting for a little longer to hit the streaming service include Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman's A Family Affair, Kevin Hart comedy Lift, and Damon Wayans Jr and Gina Rodriguez's Players.

Regina King's Shirley Chisholm biopic Shirley and Adam Sandler's Spaceman will also be released in 2024 instead of this year.

While Netflix hasn't commented on the delays, the news comes amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

The cast of Damsel also includes Jurassic World's Nick Robinson, Black Panther star Angela Bassett, and The Departed and Black Widow actor Ray Winstone.

It's not the only project of Brown that fans will be waiting for, with production on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things halted by the writers and actors strikes.

Back in June, Terminator star Linda Hamilton was revealed to be joining season five, though no details over her role was shared.
