Millie Bobby Brown Is One Badass, Dragon-Fighting Damsel in Netflix Movie Trailer

Millie Bobby Brown exhibits level-11 dragon-fighting moxie in the trailer for Damsel, a Netflix fantasy movie due out in 2024.

Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto, Linked) and penned by Dan Mazeau (let’s go with Fast X?), the film stars Stranger Things‘ front woman as a “dutiful damsel” who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt.

“Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive,” the official synopsis tells us.

“It’s a thrilling adventure with a really dark twist to put you on the edge of your seat,” director Fresnadillo told TUDUM. “As a filmmaker, one of the things I always want to do is surprise the audience with a new take on a story. Especially this kind of [traditional story] — we have to modernize those tales with new takes, more modern and real ways, to connect with the audience.”

Damsel also stars Ray Winstone (Ice), Nick Robinson (Love, Victor) and Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), with Angela Bassett and Robin Wright.
