Speaking of fairytales, Jake's April 2023 proposal was straight out of a rom-com! During one of their underwater diving adventures, he presented Millie with a shell containing a stunning diamond ring.
Millie told the Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon all about it. “Jake and I bonded over diving. We love diving, we got our driving licenses together,” she said. When they were on vacation, Bongiovi told Brown to get ready for an 8 a.m. dive at their go-to spot.
“I was like, ‘8 a.m., dive?’ ... And he’s telling me, ‘We’re going to the same spot we usually go to.’ I’m like, ‘It’s boring, let’s go somewhere new.’ He’s like, ‘No, we have to go to this spot.’”
Millie shared that during the dive, “He gives me a shell and I turn it over and it’s a ring."
Unable to speak, Jake excitedly tried to communicate through bubbles and facial expressions—and Millie enthusiastically said yes. But then! The pricey rock slipped off her finger and started falling into the abyss. Thankfully, Jake acted quickly and was able to dive down and get the ring.
“It’s a reflection of who he is and I feel like we’re always going to have each other’s back and if anyone drops the ball, we got it,” she said.

In a 2022 interview with WIRED, the British star dished that she and Jake "were friends for a bit" after connecting online and before taking their relationship to the next level.
