Trustees special meeting

The Walnut Township Trustees met in a special session Nov. 21, with Chairman Bill Yates presenting two resolutions.

The first dealt with placing an additional fire EMS levy on the March ballot. If approved by voters, the levy would cost the owner of a $100,00 home $91.

The second resolution requested the Board of Commissioners of Fairfield County adopt a resolution to prohibit the construction of economically significant wind farms, large solar facilities, and large wind farms from the unincorporated area of Walnut Township. Both resolutions passed.
