Miley Cyrus is on fire.

The pop star's latest single, "Flowers," is number one on the music charts around the world for the second week in a row—topping the lists in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, to name a few.

She proudly celebrated her achievement yesterday on Instagram.

"Celebrating 'Flowers' being #1 around the world again this week! I love that this record is connecting in such a positive way & it's a pleasure to continue creating music for you. These milestones are only made possible by the listeners & my incredible fans. Endlessly thankful," she wrote alongside two photos of herself dancing in a sleek black minidress.

In the sultry snaps, Cyrus shows off her moves while looking away from the camera, pouting her lips. Her long-sleeved LBD features a plunging neckline held together by a thin belt-like strap at the chest, and Cyrus wears her hair up in a messy bun with loose strands framing her face. Her makeup is gold and shimmery—her go-to hue and look for her "Flowers" era.

The track, fans have speculated, is Cyrus's empowering response to Bruno Mars's "When I Was Your Man." Not only is it set to the same beat, but the lyrics seems to be alternate responses to Mars's own statements.

Mars sings, "That I should have bought you flowers / And held your hand / Should have gave you all my hours / When I had the chance / Take you to every party 'cause all you wanted to do was dance / Now my baby's dancing / But she's dancing with another man."

Cyrus sings, "I didn't wanna leave you / I didn't wanna lie / Started to cry but then remembered I / I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand / Talk to myself for hours / Say things you don't understand / I can take myself dancing / And I can hold my own hand / Yeah, I can love me better than you can."

Cyrus's ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, allegedly dedicated the Mars song to her when they were together. The two met in 2009 on the set of The Last Song and embarked on a decade-long on-and-off relationship. They married in an intimate ceremony in December 2018 and split less than a year later, in August 2019.
