In the short time Julio Jones has been with the Titans organization, it seems the superstar wide receiver has already made an overwhelmingly positive impact.

Jones, a two-time All-Pro wideout, was traded to Tennessee late in the offseason after 10 stellar seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. And now just over a month after his arrival in Nashville, the veteran receiver is reportedly taking an important leadership role with the 2021 squad.

Mike Vrabel has placed Jones in a group of talented players who he wants to be held accountable as leaders of the team. And according to the fourth-year head coach, the newly-signed WR has taken that challenge head on.

“One thing I told him is, I’m going to hold the best players the most accountable, and hopefully in turn they can do that to the rest of the team,” Vrabel said, via TennesseeTitans.com. “I’ve always said that is something that we believe in. That’s how I was coached, and that’s what I know. I just wanted to make sure that [Julio] understood that, which he did. It’s something he was very comfortable with. . . . Everything that he has done since he has been a member of our team has been positive.”

With 10 NFL seasons under his belt, Jones should be an excellent leader with the Titans’ young squad — especially on the wide receiver corps. Pairing him alongside two up-and-coming receivers in A.J. Brown and Josh Reynolds, the 32-year-old wideout should push these young guys to new heights in 2021.

The Titans will kickoff their first training camp practice tomorrow.
