The countdown to one of the strangest matchups in recent boxing history, the Saturday, July 20 fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, is nearing the month-to-go mark.

The bout was announced in March, though it was another month before it was revealed that this would be a sanctioned, professional fight.

So far, the build-up has been one of mutual respect between the fighters rather than the usual press conference sniping, leading to speculation that this could be more of a hugfest than a slugfest.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations announced it is sanctioning this as a professional fight. It will consist of eight 2-minute rounds with 14-ounce gloves.

How are Jake Paul and Mike Tyson treating this?

In a May 13 press conference, the two expressed admiration for each other, and the only shoving at the obligatory press conference was in fun. The two seem actually to like each other.

The 57-year-old Tyson confessed to struggling with his fitness in the build-up: My body is (expletive) right now," he admitted on Monday. "I’m really sore."

In the closest thing that came to trash talk, Paul said, "They call him Iron Mike Tyson, but I’m Titanium Jake Paul."
