Mike the Situation, Angelina kept dating history a secret from 'Jersey Shore' producers

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Angelina Pivarnick had quite a situation in Sayreville.

Sorrentino revealed a details of his pre-”Jersey Shore” relationships with Angelina Pivarnick, and Sammi “Sweatheart” Giancola Feb 6 on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.

Mike and Angelina were more than just friends, and they hid their relationship from producers.

“Technically, before the show began we dated a few times,” said Mike of Angelina. “We hooked up a few times before the show.”

It was previously revealed on “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” that Mike and Angelina were part of the same social circle that hung out at the former Deko Lounge in Sayreville.

Mike told “Not Skinny But Not Fat” host Amanda Hirsch that he also knew Sammi before the show as well.

“Sam, she used to hang out with the same people I did,” Mike said. “We were in the same crew but it was almost like, 'Hi and bye,' you know what I mean? But we went out together all the time.”

At the time, Mike was also stripping in the male revue show across the highway from Deko at the former Club Abyss in Sayreville. He and the rest of the cast would soon answer the “Jersey Shore” casting call. The show, originally filmed in Seaside Heights, debuted in 2009.

“When the show first started, we didn't want the casting producers to know that we either knew each other or kind of dated,” Sorrentino said. “We thought it would it hurt the chances of being on the show that was (about) anonymous (roommates). All these people are in the house and they don't know each other. Meanwhile, I knew Angelina. I knew a few people.”

Including Sammi, with whom Mike made romantic overtures to on the debut episode. She hooked up with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro instead.

The upcoming season of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” begins Thursday, Feb. 8, on MTV.
