Mike Braun's support for Trump shows he is not Senate material

I read with interest James Briggs' column, "Why Mike Braun is a bad senator." I couldn't agree more, but I'd like to add a little something, which Briggs overlooked.Either Sen. Mike Braun doesn't know who the president of the United States is, or his actions are his way of letting President Biden know that he doesn't respect our current president. He still refers to Trump as "President Trump," not former President Trump. For a U.S. senator, that is shameful, at best.

Briggs: Mike Braun's Republican opponents can't attack him without exposing themselves

Also, as Briggs stated, Braun supported Trump in his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and voted to not convict Trump for the insurrection. His vote supports the insurrection, and he is lying when he says he "opposed" the insurrection.

To me, that is not U.S. Senate material.
