Mid-Hudon college softball schedules and roundups for 2024 season
The college softball season gets underway in mid-February and runs through most of May.
Army competes in NCAA Division I Patriot League, Marist in NCAA Division I Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Mount Saint Mary in NCAA Division III Skyline Conference and SUNY New Paltz in NCAA Division III SUNY Athletic Conference. Junior college teams SUNY Orange, SUNY Sullivan and SUNY Ulster compete in the NJCAA Region XV and Mid-Hudson Conference.
The NCAA head coaches are Jen Consaul (Army), Joe Ausanio (Marist), Samantha Howe(Mount Saint Mary) and Krysti Maronski (New Paltz).
Varsity 845 graduates on the NCAA teams include: Jordyn Detz (Wallkill) for Army; Olivia Ferara (Middletown), Grace Terpening (Kingston); Dana Donnelly (Eldred) and Christina Flumara (Cornwall) for the Mount; and, Jackie Rometo (Valley Central); Lauren Serrao (Valley Central), Lauren Parete (Rondout Valley), Emmie Mae Cabrera (Marlboro) and Kelsey O'Brien (Monroe-Woodbury) for SUNY New Paltz.

Missouri State 9, Army 6 (Feb. 9): In Clearwater, Fla., Army fell to 0-2.
No. 16 Utah 7, Army 2 (Feb. 9): In Clearwater, Fla., Army fell behind 4-1 after two innings of the opener. Kayla Edwards and Taylor Brown (RBI, double) each had two hits and Ashton White had an RBI. Olivia Farris (0-1) allowed seven hits and gave up six runs (three earned) over 3.2 innings.
