Michigan football finishes with most selections in 2024 NFL Draft, sets program record at 13

Michigan football made some history in the 2024 NFL Draft.

With former Michigan and now Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh selecting Wolverine wide receiver Cornelius Johnson with the No. 253 overall pick in the NFL draft, Michigan sent its 13th player from the 2023 roster off the board, putting distance between itself and second-place Texas for most players selected in 2024 (Texas had 11 players drafted).

On a bigger scale, Michigan now sits third on the list for most draft picks in one year since 1994, which is when the draft moved to seven rounds. The Wolverines are only behind Georgia (15) and Alabama and Ohio State, which are both tied with 14.
