Michael J. Fox and Wife Tracy Attend Special Red Carpet Event With Their Kids

Michael J. Fox can always count on the support of his family.

Over the weekend, the retired actor hit the red carpet for a cause very near and dear to his heart, with his wife Tracy Pollan and three of their children standing by his side.

Fox, 62, posed on the red carpet while attending the Michael J. Fox Foundation's A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's event in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 11. He was accompanied by Pollan, 63, along with three of the pair's four children: Sam, 34, and twin daughters Aquinnah and Schuyler, 28.

Fox and Pollan—who have been married since 1988—also share a younger daughter, Esmé, 22, who didn't appear to be in attendance for this weekend's event.

The special fundraising gala, held at Casa Cipriani in New York City, honored a cause that is very close to home for Fox and his family, as the Back to the Future alum has been living with Parkinson's disease for more than half his life now.

Following his initial diagnosis in 1991, Fox has become a champion of Parkinson's research, establishing a foundation in his name in 2000 in the hopes of one day finding a cure.

But he has never been alone throughout his lengthy health battle, as his family is always showing up to support him, especially his loving wife.

Just days ago, the former Family Ties actor gushed about the support he's received from Pollan over the years, expressing his gratitude for the fact that she never walked away, even when things got really tough.

"She's an amazing person and she's gone through a lot," he told CBS Mornings co-host Nate Burleson in an interview published last week. "I realize that she has a life separate from me having Parkinson's or separate from me being Alex Keaton or Marty McFly. She's a person," he said.

Fox even said that Pollan "would have been forgiven" had she chosen to leave and carry on with her own life. "But she didn't do that."
