Miami company’s vitamins recalled from Dollar Tree, other stores for lacking nutrients

Bottles of Healthy Sense and People’s Choice vitamin tablets have been recalled from several discount store chains nationwide because the tablets in the bottle don’t contain the vitamins the label claims.

The FDA-posted recall notice said an FDA inspection found that Healthy Sense Daily Multiple with Iron and People’s Choice Women’s Daily Vitamins with Iron didn’t have the amount of Vitamins A, B12, C, E and Pantothenic Acid didn’t have “the declared amount on the label.”

That notice was written by Miami Lakes company Mason Vitamins, which state records say was first registered in 1996, then reinstated in 2017 with president Gary Pigott and CEO Yosuke Honjo among the officers in their current positions. Added to the most recent annual state filing was operating vice president Rafael Rodriguez.
