Memphis weather: RiverBeat Music Festival is almost here and so are rain chances

It is officially time for the first RiverBeat Music Festival to happen, but the weather doesn't seem too eager about it.

Starting Thursday, there is at least a 20% chance of rain every day until Wednesday the following week with some chances getting as high as 80%. According to the National Weather Service, the peak for rain can be expected Thursday evening through Friday.

So, it may not be a bad idea to bring some ponchos and rainboots with you if you plan on attending the festival this weekend.

Friday will have a high of 77 degrees and a low of 65 degrees. There is an 80% chance of rain during the day and a 40% chance at night.

Saturday will have a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and a 30% chance at night. The high for the day will be 83 degrees, and the low will be 66 degrees.

Sunday will close out the festival with a high of 81 degrees and a low of 66 degrees. The chance of showers for the day is 70% and for the evening is 50%. The rain is expected to slow down after about 1 p.m.
