Mellow Mushroom to mark 50 years with new menu, more. What will be offered in Franklin

Stone-baked pizza brand Mellow Mushroom is celebrating 50 years with a companywide, limited time only anniversary menu.

The brand has more than 160 locations, including one in Franklin.

“As the commemoration of this 50th milestone begins, we want to thank the Mellow Mushroom guests who have recognized our unwavering commitment to quality pizzas, munchies, salads and more for a half century,” said Anne Mejia, senior vice president of brand development at Mellow Mushroom.

Founded in Atlanta in 1974 with the intention of “being high on pizza, people and passion,” Mellow Mushroom has restaurants in 17 states and has continued to grow by including wines, beers, specialty cocktails and a variety of additional food options.

Plans for the new menu call for a mix of returning fan-favorites and brand-new items, including an official 50th anniversary cocktail and a 50th-inspired happy hour experience set to pop up at Mellow locations across the U.S.

“With each Mellow Mushroom restaurant, Mellow owners have created a truly unique and very Mellow experience where guests have celebrated countless first dates, birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions throughout the last 50 years,” Mejia said.

The new menu will be available from May 14-Nov. 11. It will include a Super Pepp Pizza, Chop to it Salad, Hot Sriracha Wings and a new cocktail called the Disco Peachmade.

The brand will also introduce three new menu cover art designs, three new pizza box designs, 50th themed gift cards and a variety of new themed retail offerings.
