Melissa Rauch is officially back on TV, and her latest sitcom is already a massive hit.

The Big Bang Theory alum sparked buzz amongst fans back in November 2021 when news broke that she would be starring and executive producing a reboot of the hit '80s sitcom Night Court on NBC. Just over a year later, she took to Instagram shortly after the first two episodes aired to show gratitude for the show's early success, because it didn't just grab viewers' attention — it made history. Deadline reported that it scored the best comedy debut ratings the network has had in more than five years.

"THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to everyone who watched #NightCourt last night!" Melissa wrote on January 18. "I love each and every one of you! What a dream it was to share it with you all. And cannot thank everyone who made this show enough … So over the moon to welcome you all to our #NightCourt family! 💙."

Given how fans love the actress for portraying Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory, it wasn't a surprise to see people celebrate her latest career accomplishment over on social media.

"Loved the show. I had to get [used] to your regular voice and not Bernadette’s voice 😂 but I will be watching each week," one person commented on Instagram. "I didn't know if I'd enjoy this, I loved the original series, but my wife and I throughly enjoyed it, and we've set it to record every week. Great job Melissa," another added. "As a fan of the original and this version and on behalf of everyone who watched last night THANK YOU ❤️🙌👏👏👏," a different follower chimed in.

So, what is Melissa's role in the reimagined version of Night Court? She plays Abby Stone, the daughter of original cast member Harry Stone (Harry Anderson) who fills her late father's position as a night judge at the Manhattan Criminal Court.

While other new characters assist Abby in the night-to-night of court life, she also works with prosecutor Dan Fielding (John Larroquette), a former coworker of her father's as well.

Looks like we have a new show to watch on Tuesday nights!
