Meghan McCain Has Some Not-So-Nice Words for Her Former ‘The View’ Cohosts

Meghan McCain

Meghan McCain is remembering her time on The View, and shared some strong thoughts on her former colleagues.

Since leaving the daytime broadcast in Aug. 2021, McCain has been vocal about her perceived experience during her time on the show, namely with former cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sunni Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Alyssa Griffin, and Sara Haines.

The political commentator recently visited Michael Malice's You're Welcome podcast, where she shared even more disdain toward the group of women, expressing she feels it is "bullying" that they've allegedly brought her name up following her exit over two years ago.

McCain also showed disappointment toward management and show-runners. When asked by the host at what point she realized that the producers hired her to be the “bad guy” and “object of derision to facilitate more drama,” McCain responded, “It’s weird that we’re talking about The View because I don’t know if you’ve seen what happened today.”

She then referenced a Dec. 14 episode of the show from earlier this month, stating that Navarro compared her to Hunter Biden while discussing his foreign business dealings that are currently under investigation.

“This afternoon I was picking my daughter up from school, and I had a few friends text me that Ana Navarro had compared me to Hunter Biden and alluded on air that I had basically done the exact same thing Hunter Biden has done," she said.

The TV personality confirmed she hadn't done anything illegal and was discussing a potential lawsuit with her legal team because “I’m being accused of crimes on ABC News and it’s serious,” however added that she "can’t go like a week without something being said about me on this show.”

Continuing, she added, “The thing about The View is that I didn’t know when I signed my contract with ABC that this is forever, that for the rest of my life, I’m going to be bullied, yelled at, abused, and brought up for years. I haven’t been on that show in years!”

McCain went on to say that, in her opinion, she was unaware of what she was signing up for, doubling down on her alleged continued negative experience. “I just didn’t know that when I signed to do this show that I’d have to deal with, like, these crazy old people just yelling about me all the time,” she expressed. “Apparently, I am just on their minds every day. And it’s pathetic.”

The rant didn't stop there, though. Following her appearance on the podcast, McCain went on with the tirade, taking to social media to call out Navarro, specifically.

“I don’t understand why my former colleagues @TheView @ABC bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis. It has been years – move on, I have. I have never been accused of a crime in my life and am a patriotic American – I would never and have never ‘influenced peddled’ in my life, let alone with foreign adversaries. Not all politician’s children are the same – and I am no Hunter Biden. All accusations are absurd, defamatory, and slanderous,” she wrote on X.

She also promised, “I will be consulting my lawyers regarding what was libeled against me on The View this morning.”

One user in the comment section replied, "They didn't drop your name," along with a shrugging emoji, while someone else said, "You're a public figure. The rules are different for public figures and you'd get laughed out of court."

On the other hand, some suggested that she does go through with her desire to "sue," while adversely, many urged her to take the "high road."
