Meghan Markle Weighs In on Suits’ ‘Wild’ Streaming Resurgence, Mulls Why It’s Suddenly So Popular Now — WATCH

The Duchess of Sussex is also perplexed by Suits‘ streaming success.

At Variety‘s Power of Women event Thursday, former cast member Meghan Markle weighed in on the USA Network series’ sudden resurgence on Netflix and Peacock.

“Isn’t that wild?” TV’s erstwhile Rachel Zane exclaimed when pressed about the show of the summer. “It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time.”

Even though she claimed to have “no idea” what led the “blue sky” drama to find new life on streaming, Markle eventually wagered that the former USA Network series’ longevity is key to its popularity in 2023.

“It’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days,” she told Variety. “So that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting.”

As previously reported, the renewed interest in Suits has prompted the development of an offshoot at NBCUniversal. Series creator Aaron Korsh is currently at work on a new iteration that is neither a revival nor reboot, but rather an hour-long project “set in the Suits universe” that would revolve around new characters in a new location — possibly Los Angeles.
