Mega Millions $1 million winning ticket sold in Mississippi Lottery in Tuesday drawing

A Mega Millions ticket sold at the Scarlet Pearl Casino and Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi, is worth $1 million after a player matched all five numbers in the Tuesday, April 30 night drawing, the Mississippi Lottery said in a press release.

Selling a winning ticket worth $1 million or more qualifies the Scarlet Pearl Casino and Resort to receive $5,000 selling bonus from the Mississippi Lottery.

Mega Millions winning numbers for 4/30/24

The winning numbers for Tuesday, April 30 were 10, 18, 27, 37 and 61. The Mega Ball was 5 and the Megaplier was 3X.

Did anyone win Mega Millions jackpot?

While there were no jackpot winners from Tuesday's drawing, there were Match 5 winners reported by the lottery in Mississippi, California and New York.

How to claim Mega Millions in Mississippi

The winning ticket holder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a secure location, according to the Mississippi Lottery. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, which must be done in person at Mississippi Lottery headquarters in Flowood, Mississippi. The lottery also recommends the winner consult with legal and financial advisors.

How to play the Mega Millions

In order to buy a ticket, you'll have to visit your local convenience store, gas station or grocery store − and in a handful of states, you can purchase tickets online.

To play, you will need to pick six numbers. Five numbers will be white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold Mega Ball is one number between 1 and 25.

If you believe the odds are against you, ask for a "Quick Pick" or an "Easy Pick," the computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

Players can add the "Megaplier" for $1, which can increase non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesday and Friday.

There are 15 Megapiler balls in all:

  • 2X, five balls

  • 3X, six balls

  • 4X, three balls

  • 5X, one ball

Where can you buy lottery tickets?

Tickets can be purchased in person at gas stations, convenience stores, casinos and grocery stores. Some airport terminals may also sell lottery tickets.
