Selena Gomez has been nothing short of the main character during her continued 30th birthday celebrations. Just days after hosting a star-studded party at her Los Angeles home, the Only Murders in the Building actor made her way to Italy in *very* good company. Enter: Italian-Canadian film producer Andrea Iervolino. Last Wednesday, pictures of Sel aboard a yacht in Positano alongside Andrea were released, and I personally have not known peace since.

But this isn't the first time the two have been romantically linked, so there's that! An insider recently dished to Entertainment Tonight that “[Selena] is more open to love, but she is also very much focused on herself and her work right now. She's in a very healthy place. She is feeling fantastic and very mentally, physically and emotionally healthy.” That being said!!!!!! She and Andrea did spend quite a lot of time during her trip dancing, hugging, sharing forehead kisses, and looking generally enamored on their yacht as one does when in Italy.

Whether these two are the real deal or we're being hoodwinked, bamboozled, and led astray, my inner nosiness won't rest until I find out every single detail about their maybe-'ship. So please indulge me as I present you with my findings aka everything I know about Andrea so far. Enjoy!

Andrea is a big-time producer

The Cassino, Italy native is a renowned filmmaker who reportedly made his producing debut in the U.S with The Merchant of Venice, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2004. Casual! Since then, he's been behind a bevy of other movies and his film production company, Irvolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S.p.A, more recently worked on Trading Paint, which has a pretty A-list cast if you ask me. Some names you might definitely will recognize? John Travolta, Tony Sebastian, and Shania Twain.

Over the years, Andrea has picked up a number of impressive accolades, including the Mimmo Rotella Special Award for production at the Venice Film Festival in 2015 for The Humbling and the Saving Award at the Italian Contemporary Film Festival in 2016. Oh, and he was also named an ambassador of Italian Cinema and president of the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival that same year. More recently in 2020, Andrea was named one of Variety's 500 entertainment leaders and icons, which is really and truly—yep, you guessed it!—iconic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

He was awarded knighthood

On June 18, 2018, Andrea was awarded Knighthood of the Italian Republic by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and the Italian Consulate of Canada for his excellence and achievements in business and media culture. What? Can't? This? Man? Do?!?! Imposter syndrome immediately activated, lol.

He's an entrepreneur

In 2011, Andrea and fellow film producer Lady Monika Bacardi launched a global production company called Irvolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment S.p.A. He also co-founded AMBI Pictures, an investment company that provides financial backing and production assistance for international films, with Monika in 2013, and he founded TaTaTu Enterprises, a blockchain-based social media app that rewards its users for viewing content, in 2018. And if you think our fav bona fide serial entrepreneur exclusively has his sights set globally, think again! He's the president and founder of Space 11, which his site describes as "the first aerospace company and film studio dedicated to bringing all facets of entertainment to outer space. We are building the first space station arena where you will be able to watch your favorite recording artists perform live and attend spectacular sports events." Okay, loving the intergalactic vibes!

He and Sel have worked together in the past

Andrea produced the 2016 film The Dubious Battle, which starred *drumroll, please* Selena Gomez. In the years since, the two have seemed to keep things pretty friendly, with the producer even making an appearance at Selena's 27th birthday celebration, also in Italy. Though the pics of that bday are pretty PG, the energy between the two during this year's celebrations definitely suggest they could be an item now. IDK about you, but there's nothing I personally love more than a friends to lovers trope, so this is an accurate representation of me trying to fuel this 'ship theory:

Aaaaaand that's all we have for now, but rest assured, as soon as we get more intel on Selena and Andrea's maybe-romance, we'll be updating this article stat.
