The festival takes place on a stretch of Main Street, between Gould Avenue and Grove Street, that was renamed Palestine Way last year. A reporter for more than two decades, Adely joined The Record in 2010 and quickly found a niche covering news about Arab American and Muslim communities. She has delivered hard-hitting stories about secret police surveillance in New Jersey, told gripping personal stories about refugees and covered the rise of Arab Americans in politics and civic life. She has written about New Jersey families impacted by political events, conflicts and earthquakes abroad and about cases of discrimination.

Adely has also covered celebrations of faith in mosques and Arab churches, written about Middle Eastern food and culture and interviewed young artists, filmmakers and activists about their efforts to improve representation of Arabs and Muslims in America.
