NorthJersey.com reporter Hannan Adely will host a meet-and-greet with community members at the annual Palestine Way Festival on Sunday in Paterson.
The festival takes place on a stretch of Main Street, between Gould Avenue and Grove Street, that was renamed Palestine Way last year. The event runs between 1 and 5 p.m. Stop by to talk about stories happening in your community — and to sign up for a new What's App group that will keep you informed with news about the Arab American and Muslim communities.
A reporter for more than two decades, Adely joined The Record in 2010 and quickly found a niche covering news about Arab American and Muslim communities. She has delivered hard-hitting stories about secret police surveillance in New Jersey, told gripping personal stories about refugees and covered the rise of Arab Americans in politics and civic life. She has written about New Jersey families impacted by political events, conflicts and earthquakes abroad and about cases of discrimination.
