Chili is a terrier mix who is approximately 4 years old. She was brought to North Jersey from the south when she was about 7 months old and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, over three years later, she is back at the shelter. Her original owner passed away and his father, who took custody of Chili, was finding it difficult to take care of her. He ultimately had to surrender her back to START ll.

Chili is a sweet, happy-go-lucky dog who makes you instantly fall in love. She has a lot of energy, loves to play and is a fairly high activity girl. Once she gets her energy out, she is a perfect lap dog. She is sweet, loving and fast to bond.

Chili is great with people and children of all ages but would not do great living in a house with another dog or a cat.

Freddy is a hound and shepherd mix who is approximately a year and a half old. He arrived at START ll from Virginia on April 20. Aside from being a stray, the details of his past are not known.

Freddy is a loveable, sweet dog with a remarkable personality. He is great with other dogs as well as children and people of all ages. He likes to play like a puppy, but he is a very well-mannered puppy, showing lots of enthusiasm without being too rough.

He is very expressive with big, dark brown eyes and a shiny black and tan coat.

He loves playing with fellow resident Chili and would do well in a home with another dog, but he would also do well with an individual or family.
