Why is he Player of the Year: Now the three-time AGR Player of the Year, Drew Fishback has unquestionably been Section V's best tennis player this decade. The Geneva junior is among the top high schoolers in America. Tennisrecruiting.net ranked Fishback No. 1 on its rising juniors Tennis RPI list in June. Fishback had a 28-0 record as a junior. He dominated the NYSPHSAA singles title match, joining his older brother, Ryan, as a state champion.

A supremely skilled lefty, Drew Fishback hasn't lost to a Section V opponent since 2021. The four-time Section V champ has a career record of 99-3. Fishback's most recent two losses came in the 2022 NYS quarterfinals and 2023 NYS semifinals.
