Mean Girls Cast Reunites for Walmart Black Friday Commercial — Watch

On Wednesdays, we get nostalgic. That’s right, Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert are all reprising their roles from the iconic 2004 comedy Mean Girls in a Black Friday commercial for the retail giant, and honestly? It’s pretty fetch.

In addition to hyping up Walmart’s deals, the ad also reveals where the characters have ended up since graduating North Shore High two decades ago: Cady (Lohan) is now the school guidance counselor, Karen (Seyfried) is a local news reporter and Gretchen (Chabert) has evolved into her final form — a “cool mom.”

Additional cameos include Daniel Franzese as Damian Leigh, Rajiv Surendra as mathlete extraordinaire Kevin Gnapoor and Missy Elliott as North Shore’s gym teacher/sex ed professor. (Where’s Coach Carr, you ask? Probably fired for sleeping with all those students. Duh!)

Of course, there are several beloved characters conspicuously absent from this commercial. Pause all you want, you won’t catch a glimpse of Ms. Norbury (Tina Fey), Janis (Lizzy Caplan), Aaron (Jonathan Bennett) or queen bee Regina (Rachel McAdams).

You can, at least, see Fey reprise her role in the upcoming film adaptation of the Mean Girls musical, so that’s something. Originally set to premiere on Paramount+, the movie is now coming to theaters in 2024.
