The Marvels has released a brand-new teaser trailer – and MCU fans think it confirms the X-Men's arrival.

In the 15-second clip, Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau can be heard saying, "There's a different reality bleeding into ours," as the words 'Be There For What' appear on the screen.

When Nick Fury then says, "They're here," the words "Comes Next" appear, with the letter 'X' lingering slightly longer as the rest of the letters fade away.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to pick up on the teaser, with one writing: "'X' of 'Comes Next' stays a bit longer than the rest of the characters… very interesting".

"Omg X-Men gonna be in the movie," wrote another, while a third said: "X ? The X-MEN ?!"

As Marvel fans will likely know, the rights to properties like X-Men and the Fantastic Four were long tied up with Fox Studios until Disney merged with Fox and reverted the rights back to Marvel in 2019.

This finally paid off last year when Ms Marvel's season-one finale revealed that Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) was the MCU’s first mutant.

Since it's likely that Kamala's mutation will be revisited in The Marvels, it wouldn't be too surprising if this was the film to finally introduce the X-Men to the MCU.

The Marvels will see the return of Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, whose powers will somehow become entangled with Kamala and Monica's, causing them to teleport into each other's lives.

The Marvels has a release date of November 10, 2023. Captain Marvel is streaming on Disney+ and available on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
