The McNary girls basketball program has officially found its next head basketball coach.

On Tuesday, the school announced that Brittany Dunn will lead the Celtics during the 2024-25 season. Last season, she served as the program's junior varsity head coach.

"Coach Dunn has been an assistant coach with the Celts for the several years — working with head coaches Mike McShane and Elizabeth Doran," the school announced in a press release. "She hopes to share her love for the game while using practice and competition to engage students in school and teach life lessons. She is excited to lead the Celts in their 2024-2025 season and beyond."

Dunn will replace former head coach McShane, who led the Celtics to a 31-20 overall record and 16-8 league record during two seasons at McNary.

Last season, the Celtics went 16-10 and finished third in the Central Valley Conference. Their season ended with a first-round playoff loss at Benson, which reached the 6A state title. McShane was named the CVC co-coach of the year, along with West Salem's Katie Singleton.
