McFly’s Tom Fletcher responds to bandmate’s Masked Singer victory

McFly's Tom Fletcher has reacted to Danny Jones' victory on The Masked Singer UK last night (February 17).
Tom, who has been bandmates with Danny since 2003, shared his congratulations in an Instagram video captioned: "I knew it! All GDs knew it too. We’ve known for 21 years and now everyone else does too - @dannyjonesofficial AKA Piranha @maskedsingeruk has one of THE BEST voices of all time. 🐟🎣🤘"

Danny won this year's The Masked Singer UK disguised as Piranha, beating Cricket (Lemar) and Bigfoot (Alex Brooker) in the final.
In the Instagram video, Tom congratulated his friend "Danny Piranha Jones", stating "you gave some of the best vocals I've ever heard ever! They were unreal."
"I'm sure all McFly fans around the country have been screaming at their TVs for the last few weeks like my kids have because we, of course, know you can sing like that," he added.

The pride could be felt through the screen as Tom continued his praise: "We've been hearing you sing like that for the last 21 years but what has been amazing is seeing how many people heard this incredible voice come from that Piranha and would never have guessed it was that guy from McFly. I think it just goes to show how underrated Danny has been for the last 20-odd years!
"It's taken him to stand on stage with a Piranha mask on to make people take a step back and realise Danny Jones, from McFly, has one of the all time greatest voices. God tier, up there, with the very best. How lucky are we that we have the voice of Danny Jones in our band?" Tom said.
The Masked Singer airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
