McDaniel: Dolphins gathering info after Tyreek Hill’s recent off-field incidents

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said the team continues to gather information and has been communicating with wide receiver Tyreek Hill after recent off-field incidents this offseason.

In late February, a social media influencer and OnlyFans model who had enrolled her son in Hill’s football camp sued him, accusing him of “violently” charging at her during a “friendly football lesson” at his Broward mansion, breaking her leg. Hill, in a statement to ESPN, denied the allegations.

The Miami Herald also reported that Davie police were called to a “domestic dispute” at Hill’s mansion on Jan. 30.

A cousin of Hill’s wife, Keeta Vaccaro, told a 911 dispatcher she was on the phone with her when she heard Hill screaming at his wife, police records obtained by the Herald show.

Vaccaro told police she and Hill were arguing over a post-nuptial agreement, Hill’s previous divorce filing and Hill removing her from his social media accounts, according to a police incident report.

Vaccaro told investigators she refused to sign the post-nup agreement, stating she felt “bullied, threatened and verbally abused.” She also reported that Hill “smashed” an unlit cigar in her face, the report says.

Hill said he “flicked” the cigar, but denied it striking her, according to police. Hill also said he and Vaccaro had been arguing a lot lately because his representatives advised him to have a post-nuptial agreement in place. Officers didn’t notice any visible marks on Vaccaro’s face or body, and there were no signs of a struggle in the home.

“Due to conflicting stories and no evidence that a crime had occurred, no arrest was made,” the incident report says.

“It’s of paramount importance that you have communication,” McDaniel said Monday at the NFL’s annual owners meetings. “One of the things from our perspective is I think it’s very important as an organization that we’re in the avenue of finding, gathering, and learning all information possible. I think that’s kind of our obligation to all parties involved to have information.”

He added: “One of the good things about this offseason in regards to Tyreek Hill is our communication with him has been phenomenal. Working through different things is part of the coach-player relationship. We don’t wish unfortunate things on anyone. But our No. 1 obligation to both player and the organization is to find out all the information possible and then to work with the player. And in Tyreek’s case, he’s been very transparent. He’s he’s been very candid with us and we’re working with him.”

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said at the NFL Scouting Combine last month that the team is aware of the social media influencer’s lawsuit.

“We were made aware of it,” Grier said. “We’re in communication with NFL security, so really can’t comment on that until all we get all our information and find out what happened. For us, Tyreek has been a good addition for us and in terms of all the off-field stuff, we’ll get all the information before we can really comment on it.”
