Jeopardy! fans, it looks like Ken Jennings is about to pull double hosting duty.

In a new announcement made by Variety, we learned that Ken will now host the second season of the hit quiz show's spinoff Celebrity Jeopardy!. The release officially came out on August 21, the same day that ABC released their fall 2023 schedule. With the series being on the lineup for the upcoming months, the network also revealed that new episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy! will premiere on September 27 at 8 p.m. ET.

While officials for Jeopardy! didn't speak out on the news, they did highlight Ken in a short video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). "Clue: Hollywood's brightest are back when this show premieres Wednesday, Sept 27 at 8/7c on ABC!" read the official caption. "Answer: What is #CelebrityJeopardy!?"

News of the 100 Places to See After You Die author's latest gig comes just a few days after an update came out about his co-host Mayim Bialik. Amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Mayim continues to cease working on any version of Jeopardy! as a form of solidarity.

It's also important to note that Mayim was the emcee for Celebrity Jeopardy! season 1, being the sole host of all 13 episodes. At the time, The Mindy Project star Ike Barinholtz won the tournament, donating all his earnings to Pacific Clinics.

As for other details about the upcoming season of Celebrity Jeopardy!, it's hard to say. Other than the announcement of Ken taking over for Mayim, it's currently unclear as to who will join him for a chance to win money for charity.

Additionally, TVInsider noted in early August that the 40th season of Jeopardy! will work around the strikes by recycling old questions and feature past contestants starting from season 37. It's highly likely something similar may happen on Celebrity Jeopardy!, but we'll have to wait and see before confirming anything.
