Mayim Bialik’s Jeopardy! Salary Revealed: Here’s What She Was Earning Before Her Exit

Mayim Bialik was reportedly earning a cool seven-figure paycheck prior to her unceremonious dismissal last week from Jeopardy!

According to Puck News, the Big Bang Theory vet was pulling in an annual salary of $4 million. The figure includes her work on the game show’s syndicated version as well as the myriad ABC primetime iterations. Bialik’s compensation was allegedly set to increase by $1 million each year that she remained with the franchise.

Puck News also notes that Bialik’s fellow co-host Ken Jennings was also making $4 million a year, although that number is expected to increase now that he’s Jeopardy!‘s sole host.

On Friday, Bialik sent shockwaves through social media when she broke news of her Jeopardy! pink slip on Instagram.

“Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!,” she wrote. “I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family. For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America’s Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.”

Hours later, Jeopardy! producer Sony released a statement confirming Bialik’s ouster, explaining, “We made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!.”

Bialik had been MIA from Jeopardy! since last May, when she abruptly bowed out of Season 39’s final weeks in a public display of solidarity with the show’s striking writers, leading Jennings to step in and close out the season.

It was in Summer 2022 that Bialik was officially installed as co-host of Jeopardy!‘s syndicated version alongside Jennings. The pair’s ascension came after a chaotic year that saw the duo temporarily filling the void left by the late Alex Trebek’s original, short-lived successor, Mike Richards.

A Sony rep declined to comment for this story. Reps for Bialik and Jennings could not be reached for comment.
