Mayim Bialik is out as a Jeopardy! host after two years helming the game show.

On Friday, Dec. 15, the Big Bang Theory actress took to Instagram to share the news that she will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!

"As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news. Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!" she wrote. "I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the Jeopardy! family."

Bialik also took a moment thank those who have been rooting for her along the way.

"For all of you who have supported me through this incredible journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff and crew of America's Favorite Quiz Show, thank you.🙏"

When Alex Trebek died in November 2020, a string of guests took over hosting duties for Jeopardy! In September 2021, Bialik and Ken Jennings were selected to host the show through the end of the calendar year—and they were made permanent hosts in July 2022.

In August 2023, ABC announced Jennings would take over for Bialik for Celebrity Jeopardy!

"It's changed my life in enormous ways," Bialik told Entertainment Tonight in April 2022, of hosting the game show. "My recognizability and kind of familiarity that people feel with me is a lot more, especially with, like, a nightly show like that, when you’re on a show that’s always in people’s living rooms or wherever they choose to watch."
