Maya Hawke may be the product of a famous Hollywood couple (exes Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman), but when it comes to her own dating life, the 25-year-old actress/musician is a relatively closed book. Since breaking onto the scene with her portrayal of Robin in Stranger Things, she's been linked to a small handful of public figures, including musician Spencer Barnett, who she's still assumed to be dating to this day.

Who is Maya Hawke dating now?

It's hard to say for sure who Hawke is dating, considering how tight-lipped she remains about her personal life. But she's been linked to fellow musician Spencer Barnett since February 2022, when the Daily Mail published photos of the pair kissing in New York on Valentine’s Day.

Barnett is a singer/songwriter who's released eight singles and three EPs since 2017. Like Hawke, he has some pretty notable parents—his mother is former Manhattan district attorney Sloan Barnett and his father is Shaklee Corporation CEO Roger Barnett.

Despite never confirming their relationship, the pair stepped out together at the Dior Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week in March 2022. Although they haven't been spotted together much since, Barnett has "liked" Hawke's Instagram posts as recently as Nov. 11 (as of this writing). At the very least, it seems the duo are still supportive of one another.

How long have Maya Hawke and her boyfriend been together?

It's unclear if and when Hawke and Barnett started dating, because they've never revealed that information to the public. But they were rumored to be an item as of Valentine’s Day 2022, when the Daily Mail showed them getting cozy in New York on Valentine’s Day.

It was also rumored that the singers called it quits after the gossip account Deux Moi reported Hawke was single in August 2022. However, the Daily Mail subsequently snapped photos of the pair on a beach in Miami in December 2022, so it appeared they were still on.

Hawke’s dating life has always been pretty private. However, before Barnett, she was linked to actor Tom Sturridge and Rolling Stone CEO Gus Wenner.

Hawke and the Sandman actor were were first linked in the summer of 2020, when they were spotted together in the Hamptons (she was 22 at the time and Sturridge was 34). They were later seen out in New York in December 2021. But by January 2022, it seemed the relationship—which neither commented on publicly—had fizzled out.

Prior to Sturridge, Hawke reportedly dated Wenner, the son of Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner, in 2019. The couple never confirmed their brief relationship, but Hawke did share some cute photos with him on her Instagram, which convinced many that they were a couple. If they were, however, they were only together for a few short months.

Because she plays Robin, who came out in Season 3 of Stranger Things, and other tomboyish roles, many fans wonder if Hawke is also a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Hawke has never spoken publicly about her sexuality, but she has talked about the privilege it is to play such an important role.

Even a little gesture like having a gay character is a big deal,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s such an amazing thing the Duffer Brothers did, stopping the whole show—there’s an action scene going on [elsewhere in the episode]—and it stops for a seven-minute conversation between two people who really care about each other.
