Matt Gaetz gets married in California to Ginger Luckey

Matt Gaetz, the Florida congressman being reviewed in a sex trafficking investigation, got married in California over the weekend.

Gaetz and Ginger Luckey eloped Saturday, with the politician sharing a series of tweets and photos celebrating the occasion.

“It is pure joy to walk through life with ⁦@LuckeyGinger,” Gaetz wrote Sunday.

Gaetz, a Republican, also said ex-Rand Paul aid Sergio Gor was the officiant and DJ at the wedding, which took place on Catalina Island, located off the coast of Los Angeles.

In April, the Daily Beast published a report that Gaetz’s friend, Joel Greenberg, had claimed in a confession letter that he and the Congressman paid for sex women including an underage girl.

Greenberg then pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a child, along with five other federal charges, in May. The plea deal didn’t name Gaetz.

Gaetz has denied engaging in a sexual relationship with a minor.

Both Gaetz, 39, and Luckey, 26, wrote in the biography sections of their Twitter pages that they are married.

“I love my wife!” Gaetz tweeted Saturday.
