The Masters was forced to make some adjustments to its Par 3 contest due to inclement weather this week.

On Wednesday afternoon, the tournament announced the new times for the beginning of what should be an incredible weekend at Augusta National.

“Weather Update,” the Masters tweeted from its official account. “Patron gates will reopen at 12:45 PM and the Par 3 Contest will begin at 1 PM.”

In the event, currant past Masters champions are invited back to play a nine-hole, Par 3 course as a precursor to the main event on Thursday. Holes generally range from 70-140 yards, with the winner taking home a crystal bowl for the lowest score.

Players will regularly allow children or family members to hit celebrity shots. Like back in 2018, when the “Golden Bear “Jack Nicklaus let his grandson, G.T., hit a tee shot on the ninth; which he aced.

It’s been a while since one of golf fans’ favorite contests took place. The event was cancelled the previous two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But now, she’s back at 1 PM ET.
