Mary Trump calls out Meghan McCain’s ‘entitlement’ as Twitter feud escalates

The Trump and McCain family feud has no end in sight.

Author Mary Trump, the estranged niece of the 45th president, called Meghan McCain “entitled” Monday night after the ABC host said there were no good Trump family members.

“I have plenty of respect for Meghan’s parents,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “It’s too bad she can’t take responsibility for her own actions. That’s the problem with entitlement — it’s dangerous. And so is our failure to hold powerful people accountable.”

The latest attack came after McCain tweeted that she wanted the Trumps to leave her and her entire family “the f--k alone” following a bizarre episode of “The View” — the daytime show McCain is leaving Friday after nearly four years as co-host. The controversial daughter of the late Sen. John McCain disappeared from the program during an interview with Trump, who was there to promote her new book, “The Reckoning.”

Donald Trump’s niece, a fierce critic of the former president, used the co-host’s absence to throw some not-so-subtle shade at her.

“It’s a shame that your colleague didn’t have to courage to come on and have this conversation with me,” Mary Trump told the other co-hosts.

The fight spilled over to Twitter just a few hours later, with Meghan McCain writing, “There is no ‘good’ Trump family member to me.”

The conservative commentator did not explain why she skipped Mary Trump’s interview, but critics pointed out that she had no problem sitting down with one of the former president’s most controversial children, Donald Trump Jr., and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, in a 2019 episode of “The View.”

The former commander-in-chief was an outspoken critic of John McCain, attacking his military credentials for years and insulting him even after his death.
