Marvel's Sebastian Stan lines up surprising new movie role
Marvel star Sebastian Stan has lined up an unlikely new movie role. The Captain America actor, known for playing Bucky Barnes in the film series, will star as a young Donald Trump in The Student.
Fresh star Stan will appear alongside Bodies Bodies Bodies actor Maria Bakalova as Ivana Trump and Succession star Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn, Variety confirmed.
The film's logline reads: "The Student is an exploration of power and ambition set in a world of corruption and deceit. It's a mentor-protegé story that charts the origins of an American dynasty.

"Filled with larger-than-life characters, it reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers."
As yet, the film does not have a release window. The Student will be written by Gabriel Fox, author of Fox News novel The Loudest Voice in the Room: How the Brilliant, Bombastic Roger Ailes Built Fox News – and Divided a Country.
The film is a co-production between Daniel Beckerman, Jacob Jerek, and Ruth Treacy, while Grant Johnson, Gabriel Sherman, and Amy Baer will act as executive producers.
It's not the only time Stan and Bakalova will star alongside each other with the actors also tipped to appear in an untitled spy comedy movie.

The script comes from The Greatest Showman writer Jenny Bicks and will tell the story of a failed double agent who, against all odds, becomes a success, according to Deadline. Stan will also act as producer on the film alongside Laura Allen Fischer, with Bridesmaids' Paul Feig favoured to direct.
This year saw Stan receive Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for his portrayal of Motley Crue rocker Tommy Lee in biographical drama Pam and Tommy. Bakalova, meanwhile, appeared in the third and final instalment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise as Cosmo the Space Dog.
The Student is yet to receive a release window.
