Marvel has added another member to its cast for The Fantastic Four, with Paul Walter Hauser joining the project.

According to Deadline, the Cobra Kai and Richard Jewell star will appear in the upcoming MCU film, though his role is currently unspecified.

Hauser will appear alongside Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, with the quartet playing Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm respectively; Julia Garner has also reportedly been cast as the villain Silver Surfer.

Quinn, who played Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, recently spoke about the prospect of his role as The Human Torch, saying he had “big boots” to fill in regards to following Chris Evans in the role.

“I remember really enjoying Chris Evans's performance as Johnny in the previous films, and it felt like this would be a really exciting opportunity,” he said. “I was absolutely signed up. I mean, [I’m] going to make it [my] own. I have big boots to fill.

“I knew that they'd been talking about making the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Universe for a while. I had a talk with [director] Matt [Shakman], and it was very clear with the kind of people who they were attaching to it what they were trying to do with it.

“There are aspects of it that are very much a singular thing and its own thing. Working with Vanessa, Pedro, Ebon – they're really consummate pros and brilliant in everything they're in. I'm really looking forward to establishing this familial dynamic with them and with Matt's guidance.”

Moss-Bachrach also spoke about his role as The Thing, saying: “I got a call from my agent. wasn’t thinking about work at all because writers were striking and then actors were probably going to strike — and he said: 'Yeah, they asked you to play The Thing'”

The Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025.
