Marvel's Anthony Mackie joins Stephanie Beatriz in Twisted Metal trailer
Twisted Metal, an adaptation of the Sony video game franchise of the same name, has released a first trailer for the upcoming TV series.
Marvel star Anthony Mackie stars in the lead role, joined by Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Encanto's Stephanie Beatriz.
Set to air on Peacock later this month, the series takes place in an apocalyptic wasteland where a milkman with amnesia, John Doe (Mackie), is tasked with delivering a mysterious package if he wants to stay alive.

He teams up with Quiet (Beatriz), a mostly silent rash car thief, and the two embark on a desperate mission through Las Vegas, fending off ruthless marauders in deadly, destructive vehicles for a shot at a better future.
Developed by Michael Jonathan Smith and co-executive produced by Will Arnett, who voices one of the characters, Twisted Metal also stars Scream's Neve Campbell as Raven, the charismatic woman who hires John Doe.
The cast is rounded out by SNL's Chloe Fineman, pro wrestler Samoa Joe, The Tomorrow War's Mike Mitchell, Spider-Man's Thomas Haden Church and The Good Place's Jason Mantzoukas. Tahj Vaughans, Lou Beatty Jr, Michael Carollo and Richard Cabral also star.

Meanwhile, Mackie will reprise the role of Sam Wilson aka the new Captain America in Captain America: Brave New World, previously known as Captain America: New World Order.
The upcoming MCU movie will mark Harrison Ford's Marvel debut as Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross. Last month, Mackie shared a BTS snap with his co-star in which Ford appears to have watched the lead's performance on a set of monitors.
"When Harrison Ford tells you how kicking ass should look, you listen! Lol… Thanks for the on-set wisdom and laughs my friend! Can't wait to do it again…" Mackie captioned the post.
All ten episodes of Twisted Metal will premiere on Peacock on July 27.
