A new Marvel Star Wars collaboration puts the focus back on prequel-era favorite Jango Fett that delves into his pre-clone days. The four-part series, called simply Star Wars: Jango Fett, is out now, and it’s the product of 2023’s Star Wars Revelations 3, the one-shot-style side project that sets up new stories for other writers to take on and run with.

"Jango Fett embarks on a brand-new mission as seen in Star Wars: Revelations,” the official description reads. Ethan Sacks (Star Wars: Bounty Hunters) and Luke Ross (Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters, Star Wars: Dark Droids) team up to continue the legacy of one of the greatest bounty hunters: Jango Fett! A bounty to find! A mystery to solve! A treaty at risk! All this with Aurra Sing in the mix!"

Aurra Sing’s appearance is a pretty big deal, though you’d be forgiven if you have no idea who she is. Sing showed up in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and joined Boba Fett as the newly-orphaned lad hunted down Mace Windu on a quest for vengeance. It’s a bit timey-wimey, but the good thing about Star Wars canon being so loose is that you can still have a scenario where Sing meets Jango without messing everything up.

She also knew Darth Maul and worked with the Hutts to assassinate Padme Amidala, a task that brought her into conflict with Ahsoka Tano. She’s been around the galaxy, in other words, though she’s not as well known as some extended universe characters.

Anyway, if you ever wondered what Jango Fett’s life was like before the republic approached him as the source of their new army, here’s your chance to find out.
